The Stomahesive Seal 48mm is designed to provide additional protection around the stoma and help create a secure seal between the skin and the ostomy pouching system.
Leakage around an ostomy appliance can expose peristomal skin to stoma output and may contribute to skin irritation. Stomahesive Seals provide a simple way to fill uneven areas and improve the seal around the stoma.
Mouldable for an Individual Fit
The Stomahesive Seal can be moulded and shaped by hand to accommodate different stoma shapes and individual body contours.
The ring can be stretched, broken and rejoined when necessary, providing flexibility when creating a customised seal around the stoma.
Multiple seals can also be stacked where additional material is required to fill deeper creases, folds or uneven areas.
Helps Reduce Ostomy Leakage
When positioned around the stoma, the seal helps fill gaps between the skin and the ostomy skin barrier. This can support a closer fit and help reduce the possibility of leakage underneath the pouching system.
The seal can be used alone or together with Stomahesive Paste depending on individual ostomy care requirements.
